 Curiosity Killed...... the Cat may well undo meWelcome to the website of “Curiosity Killed... the Cat may well undo me”, a c.d. devoted entirely to American songs, recorded bij soprano Henriette Feith and pianist Maurice Lammerts van Bueren. Ever since they started working together, they have strived for the appreciation of American composers in recital song repertoire performed in the Netherlands. The title of the c.d. refers to the lack of action which occurs if we’re too frightened to take a risk. It suggests, in other words, to go for it, listen to it, and take the risk that one actually might ...like it. The composers featured on this c.d. are Jake Heggie, Samuel Barber, Ned Rorem, Gian Carlo Menotti and Leonard Bernstein. A special contribution was made by the cellist Pepijn Meeuws.
